"My story begins with a deep connection to nature — the desire to communicate it and, above all, to protect it."
I am Rafa Mesa. I hold a PhD in Geography and have spent over a decade studying and traversing the Mediterranean territory: its wetlands, its ravines, its scrublands and its farmhouses. From a very young age, the landscape of the Iberian Mediterranean has been my school and my refuge.
I founded Palmito Wild from the need to share this world in a direct and respectful way. Not as a simple tour operator, but as a guide who knows each corner intimately — who can read the calls, identify a plant by its scent, and explain why each species is where it is, and at what moment of the year.
Birds are not just animals we observe: they are the eyes and wings of the territory. The plants speak to us of ancestral uses, and each farmhouse tells the story of the generations that preceded us. When you leave, I want you to feel that you are also part of this.
A private guided tour of Albufera Natural Park. Walk through Mediterranean forest, observe waterbirds, and enjoy a one-hour sunset boat ride.
